<\/figure>F\u00fcr die Fahrt ins Projektgebiet der RDO haben wir nicht die g\u00e4ngigen Verkehrsmittel Bus oder Flug, sondern die Bahn gew\u00e4hlt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die Tazara (Tanzania Zambis Railways) wurde in den 1970er Jahren erbaut und verbindet Dar es Salaam mit Kapiri Mposhi in Sambia. Urspr\u00fcnglich f\u00fcr den Transport von Kupfererz von Sambia bis an den Indischen Ozean konzipiert, ist die Bahn heute wirtschaftlich von geringer Bedetung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf der 1860 km langen Strecke verkehren 1 Schnellzug und ein Bummler pro Woche und Richtung. Wir nehmen den langsamen Zug f\u00fcr die 660 km nach Makambako, wo uns jemand von RDO abholen soll.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>Schon bald nach Dar es Salaam f\u00e4hrt der Zug durch abwechslungsreiche Lanschaften.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aufgrund der versp\u00e4teten Abfahrt des Zuges fahren wir erst bei Dunkelheit (Sonnenuntergang 18:20) durch einen Nationalpark (Seleous Game Reserve).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mahlzeiten und Getr\u00e4nke werden serviert, ein Techniker kommt \u00f6fter vorbei und bringt L\u00fcfter und Leuchten dazu, ihren Job zu tun. Die Stimmung im Zug ist ausgelassen und freundlich. Im voll besetzten Speisewagen ist selbst das Teetrinken ein besonderes Erlebnis, Fotografieren wird aber nicht gerne gesehen.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
